From working in a floating brothel to becoming the Queen of Piracy, Zheng Yi Sao took over her deceased husband fleet and was able to command 1,800 ships and around 80,000 men, plundering the South China Sea and defeating the Qing Dynasty navy a significant number of times, earning herself a reputation that meant that she was asked to retire at just 35.
